Trigonal Arch, Canary Wharf, Uk

The Trigonal Arch tower on North Quay located at Canary Wharf was part of a sustainable tall buildings competition developed together with Young Cho. The tower is mostly residential and its trigonal plan with three cores, with a core at each corner, and a large day lit atrium space passing through the centre. The tower has sky courts that face in different directions as you rise up the tower. The sky courts are naturally ventilated courts that admit fresh air for stack ventilation to the inward facades of the accommodation. Service floors under the sky courts provide space for rainwater collection and storage and rainwater harvesting, earth for tree roots, waste recycling plant etc. The tower is crowned with a wind farm.
